Skills are taught with the setting in mind. Time pressure, imperfect information, limited equipment, and the job a student returns to are part of the instruction, not an afterthought.
Classes are prepared, bounded, and respectful of the student’s time and of the standards that govern a given course. Direct does not mean casual.
