Questions That Matter in Practice

Kheiron Group supports applied research addressing practical questions in prehospital care, public safety, operational medicine, education, preparedness, and human performance.

Support may include research-question development, study concepts, protocol development, survey development, data-collection planning, implementation evaluation, educational evaluation, and research collaboration. This is help with a project. It is not a record of completed studies.

Study Development

Support for research-question development, study concepts, protocol development, survey development, data-collection planning, and project planning.

The work is to make a question specific enough to plan: what would be asked, how information would be gathered, and what the project would need before it began.

Prehospital & Operational Medicine

Research related to emergency care, prehospital medicine, casualty care, austere environments, operational medicine, and related systems.

The questions are the ones that show up where care is given before or outside a hospital, and in the systems around that care.

Public Safety

Applied research addressing law enforcement, fire, EMS, emergency preparedness, and interdisciplinary public-safety challenges.

The focus is the operational problem, including the places where those disciplines have to work on the same incident or the same preparation.

Education & Human Performance

Evaluation of training, knowledge retention, competency, instructional approaches, simulation, microlearning, and performance.

A course can be studied for what people are asked to learn, what they can still do later, and how the instruction relates to the job they return to.

Implementation & Evaluation

Support for implementation evaluation and educational evaluation: how evidence, clinical guidance, training interventions, or operational practices are carried into real-world environments.

The interest is what happens when a recommendation meets a shift, a classroom, or an organization’s existing way of working. That is a kind of support that can be discussed. It is not a completed study.

Collaborative Research

Kheiron Group may participate in collaborative projects involving academic institutions, public-safety organizations, healthcare organizations, researchers, and other appropriate partners.

Participation would be arranged for a specific project. It is not a standing affiliation, and no partner, sponsor, or funded study is claimed on this page.

Scope

Kheiron Group is not a university, an academic institution, an IRB, a research sponsor, or a clinical research organization.

Kheiron Group does not independently provide IRB oversight. A project that needs ethics review has to obtain that review from the institution responsible for it.

Research the founder has taken part in stays with the founder and with the institutions involved in that work. Those affiliations are not affiliations of Kheiron Group LLC, and outside projects are not claimed here as the company’s.

This page does not list publications, grants, sponsors, partners, or funding. None are claimed for Kheiron Group LLC.
